Stepping back in time – Rawtenstall centre and Bus station 2008

For my next film outing, I’ve decided to go with a vintage film I made many years ago, in Rawtenstall, Lancashire, with an old Sony tape camera.
Most of the area filmed has now been demolished and replaced with a soul-less open area, where the council had a big plan to redevelop, but as per, failed to come about.

I’d seen lots of youtube film content on the place, but it was mostly of a selection of photographs made into a short film.
I remember the cold, windy, Sunday morning well.
It was freezing and I dragged the better half around.

Much to my surprise, when I asked at the bus depot, when it opened, if I could walk around inside and film, I was given permission!

The film has sat in my folder for years, occasionally watched and just left.

It has the sound of wildlife and what traffic there was around at that time in the morning.
It’s has no brilliant editing skills, cutting edge tech or in depth labeling.
It has just been transferred on to disc then uploaded.

If you’re from the area, I hope you’ll enjoy it.
